Changed out the Alex Rims boondock 7’s that came with Cervelo GRX, night and day difference. Lighter,faster and bike rides so much smoother. Running tubeless as well.
Wheels are great
I bought these for my Canyon Grizl which already came with a quality wheelset, so I did not know how much extra performance I would gain. To my surprise, it has been a big improvement in speed, comfort and the bike is noticeably lighter. The hubs are so smooth and I feel like I just soar down descents now. Super easy to set up tubeless and pair well with 45mm gravel tires. Huge plus that you can purchase these with an XDR hub, as some wheel companies make you purchase a replacement hub to convert. Outside of that, they look great too!
Reynolds has done a great job engineering the ATR X wheels to hit the "all roads" sweet spot. The 40mm deep rims spin up fast, hold speed really, really well, and are stable in cross wind situations. They are responsive without being harsh when the terrain gets bumpy. Overall I'm super impressed with these wheels and they've added a true performance upgraded to my Cannondale Topstone. Nicely done, Reynolds.
Currently running the ATRx 700's on my Cervelo Aspero and they are unbeatable. This is the second set of Reynolds I've owned and they once again have proven to be a favorite. Light, stiff, responsive and bombproof. AZ roads and trails are pretty harsh on carbon as well but these things hold their own in the desert!
