Sintered Hayes Dominion A4 brake pads work as intended with solid performance and wear. No complaints with the quality of the pads.
Just always annoying to have to take off the wheels to replace pads. Wish Hayes would design a brake caliper that allows for pad replacements w/o having to take off the wheel. That and pad adjustment knob/screw on master cylinder or around the brake lever. Other than those two things, I’m loving my Dominion A4 brakes.
These pads are powerful, consistent and quiet once broken in properly. Excellent modulation..
Good stopping power, good modulation, nice and quiet, but they wear quickly. I am used to getting a year out of sintered pads. To only get about 3-4 months out of the semi-metallic came as a surprise.
Put new pads on before hitting the North Shore of Vancouver and they made all the difference. The confidence it gave me to ride that steep gnar was amazing. Couldn't imagine using other brakes.
Finally got Hayes Dominions, extremely easy on the hands, virtually no hand/arm fatigue from all day riding at the park. Easy bleed, consistent breaking, finally found "my" brakes, don't need anything else...maybe the purple ones
