Decent Wheel But Will Not Go Tubeless

I bought this wheel and before it was even installed it was 20% off when I paid full price. Hayes just ignored all my emails complaining about that. So I paid full price for this thing.... and was it worth it? No way. For full price the wheel is a rip off. It does not hold air pressure when I went tubeless. I took it to my mechanic local bike shop and he said yes it is supposed to be TLE or TLR but there is something wrong with it. It leaks down through the rim strip as well if I put the pressure over 10 psi. Tried multiple times to go tubeless with it. So now I am spending 2 hours to clean all the tape off and clean the wheel and tire from sealant to put my tube back into it. What a nightmare. I honestly would not have bought this wheel if it wasn't able to go tubeless. Disappointed.

Bad Tueless Tape Job

Love the wheels. I have a spare set on both my bike and my wifes to switch to studs on or non studs while travelling. BUT. factory tape job is a joke. Tape folded over and not sticking. Massive leaks. Now I have to drive 50 miles each way to a bike shop to get new tape. Thanks guys.

Well built, both Sram and Shimano micro spline hubs included and already taped for tubless. Way more than I expected.

Desert Mule

Excellent wheel for desert riding! I put over 5000 miles on my first Mulefut 80 when it finally gave out. Excellent customer service and extremely fast delivery! Only wheel I will use on my Why Cycles Big Iron!

Great Replacement for the OE Rim on My Trek Farley EX8

The Trek rear hub failed and they wanted over $500 for a replacement. Since the rim was a Mulefüt, I searched and found this website. This is V2 of this rim and was a direct replacement. It came with the XD free hub body installed (which is what I have) and the Shimano in the box. I was pleasantly surprised to see the rim already taped for tubeless. That with the 4 oz. of sealant and new valve stem meant I was up and running super quick. My only note is that I like to support my LBS whenever possible and Hayes retail price to me was less than they sell wholesale to my local store.
