Too much flex

Got these to run on my mountain bike, which at 6'5 was one way to raise the cockpit height. It's rare to find bars this high in rise that come in 800mm+ width, so I was stoked. I cut them to 800mm, and used them with a Burgtec MK3 stem. Off the bat, there was noticeable flex in the bars without even hopping on the bike - just standing next to it I could visibly move the end of the handlebars.

When riding, this flex became more noticeable - in tech, it was somewhat helpful with arm pump, though did feel a little vague. The biggest issue came with jumps, as the amount of flex in the bars became super noticeable when compressing the fork into the lips of jumps - it's an uncanny feeling when your handlebars noticeably compress and rebound separately to your suspension. I tried to mitigate this with an aftermarket crossbar, which subsequently broke due to the amount of flex in the handlebar. I still persisted, but couldn't get along with the bars, and felt super sketchy on jumps.

Because of this, the bars have ended up on my commuter bike. A little disappointed, but if all you're doing is technical riding and are after compliance they'd be a good bet. Also worth noting that I've never had flex issues with any other handlebars, and usually either run alloy Burgtec or Chromag bars in 50mm rise.

Perfect Park Bars

These were the perfect bars for my Dartmoor Hornet Pro running 27.5 wheels. I’m 6 feet and it put me exactly where I need to be. Hard to find bars this wide with this rise, super nice quality and functional.
